First time here, stumbled on it. Do not eat in. Plastic fork and spoon. Egg drop soup looks fab, little flavor. Pot stickers good. Should have ordered to go...soup in pint plastic container. Ugh. Might return to carry out.

Name you'll see is Chans. They are super friendly and as a mom and pop shop working hard, they do a great job. Great lunch and dinner specials at low reasonable prices. Quality is around a B to B+ but friendliness, service and food quantity is an A!

I love this place, the food is good, the prices are cheap, and the service is quick. My wife hated all Chinese places except one, but she approved of this place and now we order from it regularly. We're slowly working our way through every item on the menu, which will take a long time to do, but I haven't found anything that I would hesitate to order again. As the first review says, you can't really go wrong with this place.

I eat here all the time! It's a small, family run restaurant with plenty of food options. The service is fantastic, the servings are large, and the price is fair. Pot stickers are fantastic, and the chicken lo mein is out of this world! 6 stars!

This is Chan's Chinese Restaurant, I'm guessing the registered name is different than what you see. This place is great for take out Chinese. I've never had something I didn't like from here. Won tons, pot stickers, General Tso's chicken, Shrimp & Noodles, etc. Appears to be a family run business with the family still doing all the work. There are maybe 6 tables inside, which are good for waiting for your food to be done. High quality consistent food. You can't really go wrong.

Your typical fast food, low operating cost, Chinese place. Friendly staff, but the oil needs changing BADLY. Nasty aftertaste on all the fried foods. Call ahead....it takes much longer than other Chinese places for take out. And this was with an empty dining room, and just 4 people waiting on orders. Not a good sign. Nothing to ever go out of your way to get, but it's better (quantity-wise) than the place over on Noble by the up north liquors.

New to the neighborhood and I am trying all of the a soon joints. Ordered the chicken with garlic sauce. I thought it was good, but not as spicy as I had hoped. My wife got the chicken with vegetables, again good, but nothing special. My mother-in-law got the sesame chicken and she really liked it. I thought it was pretty typical. I would only go back if I had a good coupon. I prefer China Bowl Chow Mein on Noble and 610.

A typical Chinese take-out place. No complaints of the cleanliness and quality of food. They were also accommodating to my special requests (steamed not stir-fried and sauce on the side, please!). The prices and portion sizes were good. The meats were not questionable and the veggies were crisp, colorful, and fresh.

My wife and I stopped in for a quick snack. We had chicken wings which were average, and had the shrimp toast which was REALLY good. I would totally hit this place up just for that item. The place is very clean, plenty of room, and we were served our food very quickly. I do not know how the other menu items are....perhaps we will find out another day.

Chinese Cuisine

The popularity of Chinese food in America can be adjudicated by the appearance of China Town in many major cities in the United State of America. The popular trend of ordering or opting for Chinese take away food isn't unknown in America. Chinese take away food comes to rescue when you're too tired from work or too exhausted to cook. No one can resist the temptation of eating spicy noodles, shrimp, chicken, beef or pork cooked in the sweet and spicy sauce. The cooking method of authentic Chinese food is a lot different compared to what is served in America.

Generally, Chinese use dark meat small bones and organs to cook dishes but this changes when you are eating American-Chinese fusion food prepared using white boneless meat cooked with broccoli, carrots and onions. Back in China, the food is less spicy and oily as they favor steaming and braising method for cooking the most popular dishes. So, if you have a taste for authentic Chinese food, then try finding a real Chinese restaurant in the city. You can also try the most popular fusion Chinese food like Pecking Duck, Chicken Feet, Hot Pot, Shrimp Dumpling Soup, Mapo Tofu, Wontons, Chop Suey, Egg Rolls and not to forget Fortune Cookies.

There are not many restaurants in America serving authentic Chinese food. A little research on Restaurant Listings directory can help you locate the best Chinese restaurants in the city. Chinese cuisine is continuously evolving, and you can find a variety of dishes categorized as the food for lactose intolerant, gluten intolerant, vegan, vegetarian, and diabetic friendly. So, if you have a group of friends with different taste patterns, save the hassle and visit the nearest Chinese restaurant in your city.
